We specialize in the manufacturing of quality
custom labels, product markings, graphic overlays,
membrane switches, insulators and shields since 1954.

Processes And Capabilities

Our capabilities and processes allow us to create custom products suited to our clients specific project and application needs.  We utilize the following capabilities processes; Ink Jet Digital Printing, Color Matching, Laminating, Dome Coating, Die Cutting, Digital Laser Cutting, Digital plotter cutting, Embossing and Serializing.

Screen Printing

Screen printing provides durability to meet outdoor requirements. With UV technology, print quality is unsurpassed. Accurate color matching and opacity of inks makes this process versatile for a variety of products, including membrane switch or backlit graphic overlays. Special effects and metallic colors are available. Other print styles cannot match the luster on the special materials used for label applications. Zoned textured hard coatings and 3M 467 printable adhesives are also available using the screen printing process.

Digital Printing - Thermal Transfer

Thermal transfer digital printing offers a quality image in Pantone and primary colors with outdoor durability. Perfect for high mix and low volume applications. Variable data, serial numbers (either bar code or human readable) of any font size or number of digits can be produced using this process. Not all of our materials are available with this process.

Digital Printing - Ink Jet

Digital printing offers the highest quality image using 4 color process with outdoor durability. This option enables you to use unlimited pantone colors with the cost of 4 colors. Like thermal transfer, ink jet printing allows variable data, eg. serial numbers (either bar code or human readable) of any font size or number of digits. Unlike thermal transfer, ink jet printing does not have material restrictions. This process has the ability to print on customer supplied parts.

Color Matching

Using a color spectrophotometer, we can achieve an error percentage of less than one delta unit. This ensures the highest quality consistently for custom color matching.

Serializing

We can apply sequential numbers to various label materials for a number of different applications. Numbers are available in 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" heights and 6 digits.

For high mix, low volume applications we can use digital printing. Applications include warranty labels, asset labels, parking permits, and model number or serial nameplates.

Laminating

Our laminating process provides laminations for protection and/or high performance adhesive for special adhesion issues. High gloss and matte mylars create a solvent and scratch resistant barrier to protect the printed image. We exclusively use 3M adhesives, applying the adhesive that is best suited for your specific needs. For zoned adhesive requirements, a 3M sheet adhesive can be custom cut and applied to create custom selective adhesive coverage.

Dome Coating

Polyurethane doming is the process of pouring liquid polyurethane on top of a label. The natural flow stop characteristics create a consistent beveled edge and a coating thickness of .060 to .080. The material is both solvent and scratch resistant. Doming a graphic overlay then die cutting the internal key cutouts creates a very unique high-end overlay. When applied to an elastomeric key pad, this overlay can protect the keys from being torn off under rough use. Click here to view a product we manufactured using the polyurethane doming process.

Die Cutting

Close tolerance is guaranteed on a wide variety of standard or custom shapes and material thicknesses. We can provide kiss cut / strip form labels to accurate .060 thick custom panels. Note that rectangular shapes not requiring close tolerance can be cut without a die tool and rounded corners are available at minimal cost. Laser cutting is also available.

Digital Laser Cutting

Digital laser cutting provides a much more versatile and accurate version of digital cutting. This option is suitable for short-run situations or when conventional die cutting is prohibited (i.e., materials over .060, number of cutouts or shapes that are prohibited by die cutting). Laser cutting is a great solution for 1st articles when needing to test close tolerances before ordering a cutting tool.

Digital Plotter Cutting

Digital plotter cutting provides another cutting solution without the cost of tooling. It is designed more for cutting labels and decals or non-critical tolerance polycarbonate applications. Again, a great solution for 1st articles.

Embossing

Combining heat, pressure and quality craftsmanship, we can permanently form polycarbonate (lexan ©) or polyester (mylar ©) to create raised keypads for membrane switch graphic overlays. Besides embossed keys, custom images can also be formed.
