Often a product requires a CSA certified label. Adhesa-Plate Mfg. offers a range of standard label products for this certification. Adhesa-Plate has had our 2 main product lines tested and evaluated under CSA testing type A. To “pass the test” our products are sent to CSA for durability evaluation.
Our sample labels were applied to a test panel and subjected to a variety of exposures:
- Standard temperature – room temperature, 50% humidity for 72 hours.
- Elevated temperature – 100C for 24 hours.
- Humidity test – 95% for 72 hours.
- Fading test – exposure with xeon arc light for 250 hours.
- Heat-Cold testing – 100C for 168 hours - -40C for 2 hours.
- Exposure to oil – immersed in 70C oil for 18 hours.
- Abrasion test – back and forth 100 cycles with 250gms of pressure.
- Solvent test – 20% alcohol & water 50 cycles with 250gms of pressure.
- Adhesion test – tension machine pulling at average force.
To pass the test there must be no loss of adhesion, legibility or shrinkage of label. Adhesa-Plate’s products have successfully passed the test since 1987.

C-UL Component and Label System (PGDQ2)
UL also tests labels in accordance with the Canadian Standard for labels.
